Estimate how many balls enter an opaque container. Ten rounds grow from single balls to groups of five and two simultaneous streams.
Watch the short drop into an empty opaque container. Every ball stays inside. Type your total estimate or use the count slider; its range is adjustable and does not hint at the correct count. Choose your expected rank below, then lock in your count. The container never shows its fill level. Exact counts earn full credit; partial credit falls with the percentage count error.
Rounds 1–3 use singles. Rounds 4–6 add pairs and triples. Rounds 7–9 add groups of four and five falling at mixed speeds. The opening narrows as stages progress. The finale combines all groups in two dense streams. Counts vary widely between sets while each three-round stage grows denser.
Recognize groups by their arrangement, then add the number of balls rather than counting each group as one.
Ten rounds add up to an Instinct Score of 0–1000. Round limits rise from 40 to 220 points. Instinct’s Core separately measures how accurately you predicted your rank; it waits for at least 30 other comparable attempts. These games are informal benchmarks, not a diagnostic assessment.
